Personal exhibition «15 EMANATIONS OF LOVE»
Emanation - in philosophy, a conceptual term meaning the origin of the Universe-universe, through its flow from the transcendental origin, the One Deity, God.
The artist, who started with “dot” paintings - academician of the Academy of Quantum Art, founded in 2008, Roberto Denti, member of the Eurasian Art Union, member of the Union of Abstract Artists, Elena Vogulkina, made a personal quantum leap in technology and the formation of her own style and pictorial handwriting, in the period from 2021 to 2024
Large canvases stretched over frames were originally a field of abstract, emotional expression for the author. Figures... plots... precise forms... were dissolved and not manifested in the dynamics and rhythms of color spots, from which, over time, the author began to form that very notorious “yellow dot” /reference point, zero kilometer, circle or ball/, about which the artist said this: “in my paintings there is a yellow dot, which denotes the primary element of creation, the primary spark with which it all began, a kind of quantum dot. Any object can be described using lines (waves) and using dots, like pixels on a computer. Any part of an object or event consists of a wave and particles (quantum dots). So in quantum theory, any movement of particles can be described using momentum or space-time coordinates (quantum dots).”
The artist's ideal shape of a point - a ball or a circle in dynamics - received the logic of continuation: a line, a wave or a contour, beginning to snatch / manifest / from the space of the canvas, first figures, and then entire plots. Elena literally began to broadcast and master the methods of quantum statistics according to Robert Denti: interpreting her creative state as a scientifically proven possibility of receiving information at the moment of transgression of a highly developed mental consciousness and considering the possibility of connecting herself on the physical level as an artist-medium with the world quantum space, thereby expanding visual boundaries of ideas about the real world. Realizing her own pareidolic illusions snatched from the pictorial nebula, bringing them to a high level of psychedelic influence-suggestion on the viewer, the artist creates a very light, seemingly insignificant plot, which, with the help of only two geometric figures - a line and a point, has the effect of mental programming on receptive viewer.
Giving preference to pure colors, Elena creates electrical tension in each work, enhancing the effect with a variety of compositional centers and the deliberate irregularity, childishness, and randomness of the created drawing. It is this electrical energy and the “random hand of God” in each of the artist’s canvases that reveals the intent of her project “15 Emanations of Love” in 15 paintings:
Quantum dots
The Modern Theory of quantum art (Roberto Denti) defines a creative state of being, like the scientifically proven possibility of accepting information in a moment of transgressing against a mental awareness and considering the possibility of a connection between the artist and quantum space. This pushes visiual limits of the real world.
The dot paintings by Elena Vogulkina are an original developement of abstract art, which can be used to describe the qunatum consiousness of people. The author illustrates an example of a record and instantaneously gives the observer an artistic and visual sign which shows the emotional and psychological state through the construction of multidimensional paintings and informational streams. The literary name of the painting serves as a guide for the stream of consiousnesses, empathy, and the cocreation between the observer and the artist in a moment of contemplation and absorption of colourful combinatronics.
While looking at the techniques used by the author of the dot paintings, one should keep the direction of neoimpressionism, like pointilism, in mind (Georges Seurat, Paul Signac). The game of clear points and tones which are found in close proximity to one another create a lustrously flickering effect, which is described in physics as the interference and diffraction of electromagnetic waves of light. Integrating different approaches to art, Elena is able to create a particular style.
The application of this style in art describes the spiritual state of people who witness the philosophical space of the author, and the erudition of new scientific breakthroughs.
Elena’s commitment to hard sciences, in particular, qunatum physics, quantum mechanics, cosmogony, completely constrasts with her mystical understanding of the reality of the avant-garde artists of the 20th century, who put their creative spontaneousness, irrationality, and unaware activity at the forefront of their art. This way, in the face of Elena Vogulkina, we have an artist who can define the creative processs as a reflection of philosophical ideas, contradictions, and the anxiety of the real world, illustrated by the integration of forms in abstract art.
